How we celebrate

         says a lot....

        …. about US

             …. about our FAITH
Living Sacraments
being a sign of what we believe
Story as Sacrament -- Our Sacraments are  rooted in human experiences and  generate the Divine Life in us by connecting those experiences to the Word of God.  In that connection we find the foundation of our membership into the Body of Christ, the People of God, the Church.

Relationships as Sacrament -- The human experience is rooted in relationships which seek healing and peace. For us Catholic Christians, Reconciliation is the way to that peace and a Sacrament, which for Jesus, was always a community affair.

Loving Service as Sacrament -- The daily lives of God's People are lived out in the memory of Christ's self-giving love for others.  “Do this in memory of me” reveals a profound mystery that takes us beyond ritual to action, making the Eucharist a verb that does justice.
I enjoyed your stories.  Gave me a new outlook on life.

I liked the way the mission went.  I thought it touched and meant a lot to people.  I think it helped
people's relationship with God grow stronger. (Age 11)

Especially liked the reading list.  Appreciate your enthusiasm, down-to-earth quality.

Fr. Lou's gifts as a presenter are clear, concise and thought provoking. On  Monday I came alone.  On
Tuesday I came with my married daughter.  On Wednesday I came  with my daughter, her husband
   and my two granddaughters.
First time to church in years!  This will not be the last!!! Thank You.

Great job!  This whole thing really got me excited about carrying out the mission of Jesus and His
   Church.  God bless!

I found Father Lou to be welcoming.  He made me want to come.  Thanks for his careful preparation
   and excellent delivery.

This was an eye opening experience into what our faith is really about.

I thought Father Lou did an excellent job of presenting the sacraments.

This was a mission I will not soon forget. Fr. Lou was an inspressive speaker and spoke so everyone

I was very inspired and moved by this three day mission.  I will try to use what I have learned from this

Really hit home where I need to improve my life and do God's work.  This was my first mission and it
   really touched me.

I can't express the desire and emotions I have felt.  Before I "had to earn" love, affection and tenderness.
But I can't earn these things [from God] as they are freely given.  I wish I had known Jesus as a God
   who is personal.

Excellent in getting and holding attention.  Touched the heart, stirred up desire to change.

If only the Catholic Church could tell of God's love as you have, the young would come back and stay.

The whole retreat was fantastic.  The presentations offered ideas I simply never thought of before.
   Thanks for the stories.

Your handouts will be treasured and reflected on!

I watched with awe as the whole congregation during the 7:00 p.m. Sunday Mass responded with relief
and joy at Fr. Lou's message.

I never enjoyed a mission more!

Very good--[the mission] gave us a lot to think about and how we can do more every day for others.

Father hit on key points and with handouts I can follow up and delve into later.  Even students were

I feel if this presentation were to be given to every person in the world…we all would be better persons.

This was very good and surprising.  You should do this again.  I loved it.  (10 year old)

Father Lou was awesome!  He touched my soul with a strong message each night delivered with gentle
passion and persuasion.  I loved the handouts / worship aids.  The selections to reflect on were

This is the best church gathering ever. I’m serious. (Teen)

It rocked!  It really moved me, and touched my heart. Thank you.  Awesome. (Teen)

The video  broke my heart.  (Teen re: Special Food for the Poor presentation to confirmandi).

You have made my wife and me understand our relationship with God and our obligation to our fellow
   men and women.

Best presentation in a very great number of years!  Fr. is a gifted presenter.  Would encourage his

Fr. Lou made it easy to "worship with gusto." The entire mission was excellent.  I also want to thank
the parish members who were involved.  They were great!"

I liked the worship aid.  I am doing the "Reflections for the Soul" as part of my Lenten prayer.

Father's words were so vivid, the picture so clear.  He touched me so completely.

All in all I loved the mix of liturgy, reflection then interaction,  I'll never forget this Advent.

Different' -- thought provoking.  It also made me think 'differently' about the POOR!  I shall remember the
Mission as well as the poor.

The Mission has set me on a path I had strayed from -- the anger and hopelessness I have been feeling
have been replaced by calm and hope.  Thank you.
